Мой колледж
After my graduation from the secondary school, my parents decided that it would be better for me to go to college. They thought that education there would be better and I will have better career prospects. My core subjects at college are mathematics and English. The thing I like most of all about my education here is that there is no need in studying numerous useless subjects as I used to do at school. in my college there is no chemistry, biology and some other school subjects which I do not really need. that`s why I have more time to concentrate on my core subjects and enlarge my knowledge.
После окончания средней школы мои родители решили, что будет лучше для меня пойти в колледж. Они думали, что образование там будет лучше, и мои карьерные перспективы будут лучше. Мои основные предметы в колледже — математика и английский. Больше всего в моем образовании мне нравится то, что нет необходимости изучать множество бесполезных дисциплин, как я делала в школе. В моем колледже нет химии, биологии и других школьных предметов, которые мне не особо нужны. поэтому у меня есть больше времени, чтобы сосредоточиться на моих основных предметах и расширить свои знания.
Teachers are understanding and kind in my college. When I do not understand something they are always ready to explain it to me one more time individually. Moreover, I appreciate it that all teachers have a unique approach to everyone. I think that is one of the reasons for good results of the students. After my college most part of graduates are able to enter the leading universities of the country.
Преподаватели в моем колледже добрые и относятся ко всему с пониманием. Когда я не понимаю что-то, они всегда готовы объяснить мне еще раз индивидуально. Кроме того, я ценю, что все преподаватели имеют уникальный подход к каждому. Я думаю, что это одна из причин хороших результатов студентов. После моего колледжа большая часть выпускников имеют возможность поступить в ведущие вузы страны.
The only think I do not really like in my college life is the lack of social life. In my school, I used to have various events. Our class was really friendly. Of course, I have some friends in college, but the atmosphere here is absolutely different. Very often I miss my classmates and school life full of different adventures.

Единственное, что мне не нравится в моей студенческой жизни — это отсутствие социальной жизни. В моей школе были различные мероприятия. Наш класс был очень дружным. Конечно, у меня есть несколько друзей в колледже, но атмосфера здесь совершенно иная. Очень часто я скучаю по моим одноклассникам и школьной жизни полной различных приключений.

Choosing a career isn’t easy for everyone. As for me I made my final choice and I entered to Ulyanovsk Teachers’ Training College of Physical Culture of Olympic reserve. I am fond of sports and I understood that I would like to be in the profession connecting with my hobby. I want to enjoy my work and get satisfaction from it. For me an interesting and creative job is the most important thing. My dream has come true. And now I’m studying here.
Our college gives secondary-professional education. It was founded in 1967. At first it was named Ulyanovsk Teachers’ Training College № 3. It was situated in the center of the city. Now it is on 50-years VLKSM Street, 25. It is one of the most popular colleges in the region. It has trained more than 4000 highly qualified specialists of physical culture and sport.
It occupies a four-storeyed building. On the ground floor there is a gym, a canteen, a cloak room. On the second and third floor there are different well- equipped classrooms. Classrooms in our college are bright and comfortable. There are computer rooms where students learn to use the Internet, create their first computer programs and projects in different subjects in our college. There is also an excellent library, which contains a variety of dictionaries, professional literature and books of classical and modern writers.
There is a day time and part-time departments at our college. The complete course of study lasts four years. About three hundreds of students study at our college. We study the humanity subjects and practice sport disciplines. Students of our college successfully carry out their professional activities. It’s a wonderful college for sportsmen. Today sport is more and more popular among people of our country. I think that nowadays this profession is of great need and importance.
We can practice different kinds of sports there: track-and-field, swimming, football, volleyball and much more. There’s a lot of new professional equipment on which we will practice our skills. The college gives students plenty of opportunities to develop themselves: besides getting professional knowledge we can participate in extracurricular activities, to attend different clubs.
Our college has its own traditions. Students take part in competitions of different levels which take place at college and in the city. Our students are very hardworking. They achieve good results.
Studying in our college is both hard work and real pleasure. I’m very proud to be a student of this college. I really like to study here. In future I want to become a good coach.

My name is Mary. I’m seventeen years old. I live in voronezh city. I have recently graduated from my high school and entered the Voronezh Medical College. It is one of the best colleges in the city. Besides, I have always wanted to study medicine after school. I really like this college and some of my close friends have also applied to study here.
My parents have always wanted me to be a teacher, but I have made up my mind to become a medical assistant or a nurse. The entrance exams included Сhemistry and Russian and I passed both of them with excellent marks. I am delighted to study such subjects as Anatomy, Latin, Сhemistry, Nursing, Genetics, Pharmacology, Microbiology, physical education and else. Our college is rather well equipped. There is a large sports ground outside and one gym inside. There is also a huge library with a good choice of medical books.
Actually, this college is one of the oldest educational institutions in the city and in Russia. It was founded in 1877. At first it was simply a paramedic school. After the revolution the first Soviet midwifery school was based here. In 1974 the school received the status of Voronezh basic medical college. Today, the college provides basic and advanced training in such specialties as dentistry, midwifery, paramedics, pharmacy, laboratory diagnosis, and some other branches. In addition, each year the college provides postgraduate training for nurses. I’m very proud to be a student of this college.
Today, Voronezh Medical College is one of the most prestigious and reliable institutions in the city. Thousands of young people can get decent education in healthcare area at this college.

Меня зовут Мария. Мне семнадцать лет. Я живу в Воронеже. Я недавно окончила среднюю школу и поступила в Воронежский медицинский колледж. Это один из лучших колледжей в городе. Кроме того, я всегда хотела изучать медицину после школы. Мне очень нравится этот колледж и некоторые из моих близких друзей, также подали документы для обучения в нём.
На самом деле, этот колледж является одним из старейших учебных заведений в городе и в России. Он был основан в 1877 году. Сначала это была просто фельдшерская школы. После революции здесь базировалась первая советская школа для акушеров. В 1974 году школа получила статус базового Воронежского медицинского колледжа. Сегодня, колледж предоставляет основную и продвинутую подготовку по таким специальностям, как стоматология, акушерство, фельдшерское дело, фармакология, лабораторная диагностика, и некоторым другим направлениям. Кроме того, каждый год колледж проводит последипломное обучение медсестер. Я очень горжусь тем, что являюсь студенткой этого колледжа.
